Never let your fears hold you back from pursuing your hopes.
- John F. Kennedy

As a child, Lise was a dreamer but in her twenties, let fear and circumstances dictate pivotal decisions in her life. Realizing how she limited herself, she has made it her mission to actualize her desires and to help others in that process.

Lise began her life pursuing the arts, which remains her greatest passion. She studied ballet and theatre and retains her love for the arts through screenwriting. Keeping a diary from the age of eight, the expressive arts literally saved Lise's life, preventing her from plunging into a debilitating depression or suicide when coping with childhood traumas. Consequently, she has made a career out of the healing arts. Her background includes a Masters in psychology (with a concentration in drama therapy) from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a B.A. in theatre from the University of California at San Diego. Lise also studied at the Institute for the Arts in Psychotherapy and two years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She is a licensed psychotherapist (Lisa Porter, MFC #40726), registered drama therapist and has applied to be a board-certified trainer in drama therapy. She also taught psychology at MiraCosta college for two years. She views healing as a journey towards wholeness, self-empowerment and inner peace. She can be reached at 619.838.3888 or .
